Re: Does QVC management read these?

That question has been asked many times.  The posters here seem to be split many think yes and the rest no.  My personal opinion is no.

The posters here are such a small percentage of their viewing audience and a lot of the posters say they dont watch or dont buy from QVC anymore and most of us here are mature and not of the demographic age they are wanting to attract.  What incentive does that give them to read the posts here?

A lot of the posts are complaining about hosts, vendors and their shows and merchandise.

Its the stylists that dress the models and the hosts.  I have heard hosts say that what they have on is what they were sent.  It is better than it was a while back every article of clothing was at least 1 to 2 sizes too small for both models and hosts.

I think they're catering to the mature demographic or there'd be more stylish, modern clothing. Can't imagine any young people watching QVC. They have to take what they get in terms of customers.

Yes, they monitor this board. This board tells them a lot. Not just the comments, but the sales as well. They can see who buys what, and if sales decline.

If they see a lot of chatter about Jane talking about her daughters coupled with a dip in sales, you bet they will muzzle her.

However, if the same comments are in tandem with sales either staying level or increasing then we will hear as many stories as she wants to share.

It's all about the money!

@manny2.  This board would/could tell them a lot but there's no indication whatsoever ever that this actually happens.  They've got bigger fish to fry.

Younger people don't watch QVC, but they can and do buy online. QVC is another online retailer to Gen X and younger. Definitely not watching, but will buy if they like something, as my 30 and 32 year old nieces do.

OK. Don't know any young people who watch. My nieces just make fun of it.

@My3fatcats   I agree with you.  My grown kids and grandkids do not watch and make fun of QVC shopping.

I don't want to be called " QVC Queen" so I don't have that station on when anyone visits....young or old.

I would have to say, no one I know admits to watching or buying anything from any shopping TV network.

@My3fatcats.  I'd guess half the clothing QVC sells falls into the jeans and tee shirt (and related) category.  This seems to be the national uniform of the USA, worn by everyone from toddlers to old men, certainly not just mature women.  The "fashion" aspect consists of slim leg vs. flares with not a lot of creativity,  but that's how people like it.

If so, my suggestion is make sure the hosts wear the proper size. The dress Terri had on on Fashion Deals was nice but I wouldn't buy it cuz it looked awful on her. Too tight.

@My3fatcats

I don't know for sure, but I've read comments that the best place to post suggestions is in the suggestion Box section.

Look at the categories to your left, and look down to the second last at the bottom.

[ Edited ]

I have never worked anywhere that management commented on the fit of my clothes. I think managers have other things to do. If they do comment I hope they would have better manners than say her dress looked awful.
