@PreKteacher   I now live in DC proper; relocated here 3 years ago  last week.  I see lots of joggers but not in jogging pants.  Shorts in the hot weather is popular and jeans in the cooler weather.

 

When I lived in Connecticut I didn't see too much in the way of jogging pants there either.  Again, shorts and jeans, mostly.

 

And no, I've never owned or worn a pair and wouldn't if I decided to take up jogging.

Yes.  They are very popular, and are being sold at retailers like Anthropologie, Nordstrom, Neiman, etc.  Not only are they comfortable, but very flattering on most body types.

Actually I do!!! I have several pairs I purchased from Old Navy. They are the Breath ON joggers and they are wonderful. The fabric is great for working out or even to sleep in.
