may notice a handbag; never clothes. i do notice an impeccably dressed woman or man, and there are fewer and fewer of them around. who is to say the dollars spent on an outfit? and who cares!! JBK wore designs that were easily copied for the masses

I'm a clothes and accessories person so I notice what someone is wearing, the handbag they are carrying, their jewelry and their shoes.
However, regarding their clothing, I don't put a dollar figure on it.

There's such a huge market on fake labels & look-alikes,
I just assume everything I see is FAKE. Diamonds, leather bags,
red-heeled shoes, everything. If you're getting out of a $400,000 car,
m.a.y.b.e. I'll consider it real, but until then, nope.
BUT...I do see fellow cyclists wearing $200-300 SIDI cycling shoes
and wearing cycling kits (shirts/shorts/bibs) in the $500-700 range,
so I guess I do for athletic wear.

People really don't dress expensively where I live or even wear jewelry other than wedding rings. I once saw a young woman wearing a really sharp and obviously very expensive leather jacket when I was at WalMart. I appreciate nice jewelry and clothing and I think those things are generally pricey.
