I'm tall so I think they would cut off my legs at a strange spot too. Of course they look great on Cindy Crawford.

Yes, I like it. I have long legs so I could wear it. My only problem is finding a boot that is small enough in the calf. They usually swim on me.

I think mid calf boots are what I need to try---have a couple pairs of ankle boots that I don't wear much and did try the tall knee boots that I just didn't like on---now to find a pair that don't have so much "stuff" on them.......wouldn't wear them with dresses or skirts, and not with short jeans either. I don't want skin to show between the boots and the pants or dress--but I do like jeggings/ skinny jeans/ leggings worn tucked in to boots.

I wouldn't say mid-calf boots are a trend. They are one style of boot out of many.
Mid-calf boots have always been a part of my boot wardrope along with knee, over the knee and ankle boots.
I probably wear my mid-calf moto boots more than any other boots in my closet and I have for years.

‘Mid calf boot trend....’
Uh, do you mean like, Cowboy Boots?
Not a trend...a lifestyle.
Love this dress/cowboy boot in Hope Floats.
Very Gilley’s.
And Frye boots (mid-calf) were spotted in the 70s...
I guess what is old is new again, yes?

Trend? What trend? I've been wearing mid calf boots since my college days and I'm 58 now. They've always been around but not as popular as tall boots. I prefer them and I wear mid calf all the time now because I'm short and tall riding boot make me look even shorter. I have a pair exactly like those but my heel is 2 inches.

Perhaps it would be more accurate to say that they are trending? Yes, of course, mid calf boots have been around for ages. But it may very well be that they are more popular right now than they have been for the last few years, with more style availability, etc. Many styles have moments of extreme popularity and just "being there" -- it's all quite cyclical!

The mid is more my style; however, I own Uggs because of the comfort, arch support and I don't have to wear socks! I wear in the late fall and winter.
