I would love it in a solid color. It's a simple tube dress, certainly nothing attention-grabbing about it.

@San Antonio Gal The dresses look pretty on both ladies, and I agree that the clunky sneakers on Katie Holmes don't work with the dress. I think a cute classic white pair of Keds tennis shoes would've been perfect with Katie Holme's maxi dress if she wanted to rock sneakers. Katie Holmes has such great wavy hair!

Meghan really takes care of her body. Her arms and shoulders are fantastic, I think she looks great in the dress. Katie could also rock this dress with the right styling.

I think if Katie called the paps for photos, she wouldn't be caught looking like a regular person running errands in NYC. The paps hang out outside the stars' homes or in the neighborhood and wait for them to emerge is more like it.

The paps are actively looking for stars to photograph.. It's how they make their money and keep the gossip magazines in business.

Katie could use some pointers from her daughter Suri, as she was quite the fashion plate when she was growing up. Suri always looked like a little doll.

The high tops and her posture ruined the dress for Katie.

I will say Meghan wore it better.

I do not care for the dress on either one of them but Katie really got it wrong with her choice in shoes. The dress itself is just awful. Looks like a black and white snake.
