No, hasn't happened to me.   I don't like to spend money on clothing, and especially things I might wear "occasionally".

I have plenty of casual every day wear items, but cannot even force myself to buy dressier type clothing or shoes to hang or sit in the closet until I need them.  Dressing up is just not my thing.  I use my closet to store plastic totes, not clothes or shoes.

Probably a good idea to store sweaters/and foldable tops in clear bins, placed on the top shelf in the closet.

Keep a folding step stool handy, nearby.

That we we can easily see (each day) the sweaters and tops that we might love to wear.

Otherwise, keeping items in non-see though bins is an almost useless idea.

I happen to be guilty of this.

Just thinking about it makes me nervous.  Way too much time and energy, searching through heavy non-clear bins.

Yes, the last time I was in the Talbots clearance store, I saw a gorgeous mint green cashmere sweater in size Medium. That's not my size, but I showed it to my shopping buddy, thinking she might buy it for her daughter. I remember telling her if they had it in my size, I'd buy it (but they didn't, so I didn't). A few weeks later, I was going through the sweaters under my bed and pulled out this exact sweater. Yikes!  This wasn't the first time I found duplicate clothing items. 🙄

EILEEN:

I'm kind of wondering if your shopping buddy secretly bought one in your size and sneaked it into your underbed storage (?)

Regardless, nice that you have a beautiful green sweater to wear!  Love various shades and tints of green.

@ROMARY  LOL! No, that was the only one of that sweater in the store (believe me, I searched). Lucky for me because all sales in that store are final. It's a beautiful shade that's a blend of mint green and teal.
