Re: Do you change your handbag to match your outfit???

I predominately wear neutrals (black, white, browns, lt. tans, navy) and have taken to wearing smaller cross-body bags... a black one and a woven darker brown one... no flaps, simply a zipper across the top. I do change between them. Am not carrying "everything I own" with me these days and am enjoying being hands free. {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

Re: Do you change your handbag to match your outfit???

No way. I'd forget my wallet or my inhaler or my work badge or something else I need. That's just way too much of a hassle. I change bags for a need like space or cross-body needs, but not for fashion or even the season. I'll carry the same bag for 6 months or a year. Right now I'm using a smaller Dooney letter carrier and I have a medium satchel I want to pull out for Spring, but I kind of love how light my small bag is and how it forces me to only carry the essentials. I know if I move to a larger bag, I'll fill it up and be dragging a bag full of unnecessary stuff everywhere I go.

My favorite of the "newies" is Ziggy Zinnia, which I didn't care for until I saw it in person. So a new handbag here!

Since retiring, I now change out practically every day... lots of times only need a small carryall ... it's a freeing experience!

loves, the Ziggy is a bright and cheerful pattern, thats why I love VB's bags, they make me feel happy! lol! I don't carry much at all in my handbag, I carry a tote for the necessities for my job. Its easy to change and carry, no weight. Enjoy your Ziggy and your retirement!{#emotions_dlg.wub}

I usually use a Miche bag and frequently change the outside shell to a different color or design. It's fun and easy, and doesn't take up too much room in my closet. Also, no need to change the contents of one bag to another.

Re: Do you change your handbag to match your outfit???

This past winter I mostly used two bags, black leather and brown suede.

This spring and summer I will change out more frequently, as I have a number of colorful bags. I don't deliberately try to match my outfits, but I do try to coordinate. I seldom carry a black bag in the summer.

I have a lot of shells for my Miche bags, including some custom-made (before Miche shut down the home cottage crafters), so my Miche bag can do the job year-round.

This past year, though, I invested in Vera Bradley's Sun Valley pattern, which has helped with clothes shopping (I am only adding pieces that work with the colors and print). I have several choices within that pattern and do switch bags, depending on my plans for the day.

Thats exactly what I'm doing..buying the colors I love and coordinate with my handbags! I have alot of animal prints, which works great with the black/brown/rust combo in fall and winter. But, for spring/summer I'll buy, white, blues, pinks, corals, soft greens..just adding colored Tshirts and white jeans/crops will go along way, and its less $$!Smile Thanks LL!
