Re: Do You Wear Green for St. Pat's

We're encouraged to wear green on St Paddy's Day at work, so I will probably wear a green something.

You don't have to be Irish or Catholic to celebrate. My father always said that St Patrick was Italian, not Irish, so my Italian father always celebrated. We used to have all green food when I was a kid... it was so much fun.

Don't know if I have any Irish blood but IMHO, everyone can be Irish on St. Patrick's day.........so yes, I will wear green.........it's a good day to celebrate.

One kind of has to if they don't want to be pinched.... but I'm staying home tomorrow so no worries... otherwise I'd wear something green, probably military green - the only shade of green I like.

I proudly wear the green, what else? The question is a bit confusing?

I'm of course going to wear Green as I'm Catholic and extremely proud of our Irish Heritage.

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields
and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

My grandpa was Jewish and born in Dublin! He always marched in the St. Patrick's Day parade in NY, with the Loyal Yiddish Sons of Erin--'a small but mighty band!', as he said in his best brogue! I'll be wearing my green and my little antique gold ring with the peridot shamrock, as always! Happy St. Patrick's Day! Erin Go Bragh!

Smiley Happy My mama was born to a Cohain and a Scotch-Irishman. Her favorite color was green. Last spring, she declared herself a leprechaun. I plan to wear green, and her MacClean of Duart plaid.
