Re: Do You Tuck a Shirt Into Jeans - or is that a Dated Look?

I am a tucker. I feel I look bulky or sloppy untucked. I have tried to embrace untucked and it just isn't for me.

I do sometimes if I am wearing a pair of low rise jeans. I never would with jeans that hit at the waist. I do think that look is out dated.

Agree.

The look is part in and part out. Tucked tightly in is dated. You say not a good look out. Could it be loose at the sides and need to be taken in for a better fit?

I have the same body type as busygirl. Tucking in--it's not going to happen!

I've seen this half-tuck in the magazines and I've seen at least one Q host and a model use it. I know it's a fad now. Just curious, what do you all think about it? IMO, I think it might be okay for teens, young 20's, but I really think it just looks sloppy. {#emotions_dlg.confused1}

I agree, sloppy!

I haven't tucked into jeans since probably the late 80s or early 90s. Tucking accentuates my larger hips and thighs which is not a look I am going for. I have tried a partial tuck, but didn't like that either. I will tuck into a skirt, and then blouse a bit of it over the waistband.

Wear it the way you want to. Tuck it in if it looks better. The new look is tucking in both front soff center panels and leave the middle panel out but I think that look is for the younger set.
