@Fressa wrote:I like the texture of a slub knit top but not so sheer that I have to wear a tank underneath of it. I run warm all the time and layering is not an option. I want it to be made well and hold up in the washer (cold on delicate) but I don't want to pay $60 for it.
I purchased a D&Co crochet hoodie which is very pretty but delicate. I washed it in a lingerie bag on delicate / cold and it did well. I wanted a crochet top that didn't look matronly or too over the top lace that I could throw on over a tank top and just run to the store.
That's my feeling, as well. I like them, I think the slub knit tees are cute layered over other slub knit tees, but that's just too much for me. In the summer if I'm going to layer a sheer shirt over tank, I want something more gauzy and not so close to the body as the slub knit tees are. I did have two slub knit linen/cotton/rayon blend sweaters with short sleeves that were perfect for spring and early summer and I loved those a lot. If I found more of those in the stores, I would snap them up.

I like Slub knit tops in the Summer. Finding them light and cool.

Yes I do. I own several tee shirts and several with long sleeves with attached tanks.

I pass over those slub knit tops.......almost always too sheer and don't want to have to layer ...especially in the warm weather.....

I'm not a fan of slub knits. I prefer smooth fabrics over textured.
I hate thin material that requires an underlayer, and so many of the slub knits are sheer.
Still, I have a few slub tees - because the color, fit and style were otherwise perfect. And they're not see-through.

I'm not a fan of them. Most slub knits l've seen are flimsy and see-through, unless in a dark color. And needing to wear a camisole underneath, especially on a hot day, defeats the whole purpose.
IMO slub knits are an inexpensive form of cotton, and just another way for designers and manufacturers to increase their profit margins.

No, they look flimsy and inexpensive IMO.

I bought several slub knits at Koh'l last month....in the men's department. They were only $7 or $8. Was looking for some tops to wear with shorts this summer, and since I couldn't find what I liked in the women's section, I went snooping in the men's dept. Very nice colors. They wash up really well.

Yes. Love the slub.

NO, to me the fabric looks cheap!
