Do You Like the Slub Knit Tops?

We are having a hot, sticky summer up here. I've never quite decided how I feel about slub knits until this summer. They seem rather flimsy and casual, but they are also very cool and lightweight.

I wouldn't pay alot for a slub knit tee, but I find that washing them on the delicate settings [(warm/cold) and delicate heat] makes them really do up well and last. What's your opinion?

Re: Do You Like the Slub Knit Tops?

I like the texture of a slub knit top but not so sheer that I have to wear a tank underneath of it. I run warm all the time and layering is not an option. I want it to be made well and hold up in the washer (cold on delicate)  but I don't want to pay $60 for it.

I purchased a D&Co crochet hoodie which is very pretty but delicate. I washed it in a lingerie bag on delicate / cold and it did well. I wanted a crochet top that didn't look matronly or too over the top lace that I could throw on over a tank top and just run to the store.

@Fressa ...I agree, I do not like the ones that you have to wear a tank under, as I am hot all the time too...and I won't pay $60 for a tee either. I'm so hot that 100% cotton tops are too heavy for me in the hot, sticky summer weather.

I found some of the thinner slub knit tees that I use only as pajama tops. They are so comfortable!

I dislike it when a top is so sheer you can see your hand beneath it.  Yes, I can, and do, wear a layer underneath, but sometimes I don't want to.

I bought a LOGO slub knit top and I love it.  IT is perfect for summer.  I prefer this fabric for the hot weather actually.  So cool.  It was all cotton and very thin, and was a medium hued color so it was not see through.  People have the misconception that thick fabrics are more expensive but sometimes the opposite is true.  Think of the expensive silk that is so find it goes through a ring.

I bought three short-sleeve, slub knit shrugs that have pointelle raglan sleeves and a section down the center back with the same pointelle design. They are sheer and lightweight enough to wear now and since they are sheer, they are perfect to wear over a sleeveless top or dress. I love pointelle and it goes very nicely with slub knit.Woman Happy

I like them very much.  I am very partial to texture in general. I don't mind wearing a tank or cami underneath them.  I especially like wearing a cami with a shelf bra so I don't have to wear a reguar bra.  Much more confortable in the hot summer months.

I own a few Logo slub knit tops and love them. They keep me cool in this hot and humid weather we have in the south. After I wash them, I hang them on a drying rack on my back porch and they're dry in about an hour😀.

I'm not a fan of 'heathering' or 'merled' affects and the slub appearance would seem to fall under the catagory; I like my colors saturated.

Don't hate it I just don't find it appealing
