@Desert Lily @What a fun post, and thanks for the photos. Generally I'm not a fan of pleats on me - I'm petite, plus sized and hippy. And I don't iron, though some fabrics can have permanent pleats. But I loved seeing some of these costumes on tall, thin models. Gorgeous! like Fortuny, classic couture.

The RL georgette trousers are styled terribly. Striped, cropped T-shirt, old skinny belt, and those 1970s Charlie's Angels heels. YUUUUUUCCKKK!  Smiley Wink

@Desert Lily   Very pretty and feminine styles. The #14 white

pleated skirt reminded me of the white pleated skirt that I wore as a teenager in the 60's. Those white skirts were popular then.

@KathyM23   In the 60's I also wore pleated wool skirts and a blazer. That was my uniform at the girl's high school that I attended. We also had to wear a vest over a white blouse and we had a matching beanie (not cute) that we wore in church.

I'm not a fan of the accordion pleats for a number of reasons. I love those shoes and would seek them out if I still wore heels. When I hear "pleats", I think of the hip-stitched skirts from the 60s. I loved those, back when I didn't have a tummy, they were so sleek and I loved to wear them with my madras button down shirts. I always love to have my memories get awakened when I read some of the posts here.

I say "yes". I definitely like pleats.

I like pleats, but not knife pleats which are used in skirts in some of your examples.

They outline every issue you may have.

Yes. Love pleats. Thanks for those gorgeous pix to drool over.

Re: Do You Like Pleats?

Love the pleated pants, wore many in the 80's, even pleated jeans.  Unfortunately I cannot wear pleats now since no longer have a nice flat stomach...but love the look!  Take a pass on the knife pleated skirts/dresses.

Love #12, not a fan of sleeveless but could dress it down with a denim jacket and wedges or dressy sandals and a cardigan
