Do You Enjoy Wearing Sweaters?

I have a bunch of them and pretty much hate wearing sweaters.  I do occasionally but they are uncomfortable to me no matter the material or the fit.

They sort of cling and make me too warm and aren't smooth. . . cashmere to cotton and any weave.  And yes I know I should get rid of them.  I will wear them going out, but never at home.

Is it just me?  This from the little girl who wouldn't wear puff sleeves because of elastic or those can can things without something under them. Woman Embarassed

@Sooner I think a lot of people, like yourself, don't like the feel of sweaters but I love them. I really look forward to cooler weather so I can wear them. I have way too many. I'm always seeing one that I can't resist buying.

I just wore one today...a chunky oversized oatmeal colored v-neck button front cardigan (Talbots) over a denim shirt that has a ruffled placket running down the front with a darker denim jean and oatmeal colored ankle boots. I felt pretty darn cute.

I don't do clingy either.

I do not like sweaters either. They either itch or they are too warm and bulky and if they have a turtleneck....even worse.

Sweaters are my go to winter tops.  I also have lightweight ones I wear 3 seasons.

I like the look of turtlenecks but can't wear them.

Re: Do You Enjoy Wearing Sweaters?

Yes, I love sweaters.  I have quite a few.  All of mine are natural fibers...wool, cotton and linen.  No acrylic.

I only buy sweaters that come in petite sizes.  I don't like those long, heavy, bulky and pilly sweaters.

I don't wear them around the house, but when I go out, I usually have one on.

I don't get too hot.  Natural fabrics breath and I am naturally cold.

Yes, I like sweaters, a lot, but since I get hot easily, not bulky.  They must be natural fibers, as well, cotton, lightweight wool, and cashmere.

Pullover crewneck, mockneck, only.

Thicker, heavy cardigans in the fall and winter.

@Sooner  Ha! That is so funny. Didn't even draw that correlation. Hey, are you from Oklahoma? My dad was born there.

If you live in a cold climate sweaters are a must, at least for me.  I can't imagine wearing only a blouse or t-shirt in the cold. I love my sweaters, chunky, ligher weight, or cashmere which I find the most comfortable and warm and I hand wash my cashmere.  Natural fibers are best, no acrylic.  Even visiting friends in the winter their heat is not running full blast and neither is mine.  I wear different weight sweaters from October through March.
