Do Denim & Co tops run large? Should I size down a size?

Thanks!

I think generally they are true to size.  I wear a small.

When you order I would read the reviews if you are concerned.

Re: Do Denim & Co tops run large? Should I size down a size?

I have no idea what "true to size is."  I see people wearing things out all the time that I would consider two to three sizes too small for me.  I am not a fan of the sausage look.

I have tops I think fit me will, and I have tops one or two sizes too big to wear for comfort and when I'm just running around doing errands.

So it's all in what look you are after.  I've seen people in tops they should have been arrested for lately.  OH my!!!!!Woman Surprised

If in doubt I measure a top that fits well and compare the measurements to the top I am thinking of buying.

I find that most of them do. I am a small but in D&C tops I go with xs. Figured this out after having to return a few.

Definitely a little roomier fit. I always go by the garment measurments. The measuring chart is just a guideline for me.

I wear a 'L' in Denim & Co. have to go up to XL in Isaac's and Linea clothes.

Denim & Co. is cut more for the mature lady who is more solidly built.

the other lines are built for the runway models who don't have any bra fat, big busted, stout shouldered like average folks.

Needless to say I buy 90% of my clothes from Denim & Co. and size up if I see something I just have to have from Isaac.

Re: Do Denim & Co tops run large? Should I size down a size?

I have found their sizing generous. Sometimes in brick and mortar stores (where I can try on ) I find a  L is nicer than M. When I first started buying from D& Co. I bought L and everytime it swamped me. After those I have never ordered more than a med .

Do check the click here measurments carefully and as suggested compare a nicely fitting garment of similar material from your owned items at first. Those return fees can kill a bargain!

Re: Do Denim & Co tops run large? Should I size down a size?

I think size is subjective. I see the models on QVC wearing way too small tops all the time. The shoulder seams are way  too close to the neck for them, and to my eye the whole top looks awful. But I sew and I know where a shoulder seam should hit on the body - at the outer edge of the arm, not 3" in from there. Not to mention how badly so many of the tops on QVC models pull across the bust. However to some people this too tight clothing is exactly what they are looking for, and if someone put them in a top that actually fit properly they would hate it.You need to know your measurements and then look at the  click here size chart and see what you think will fit you the way you like your clothes to fit.

Re: Do Denim & Co tops run large? Should I size down a size?

need not to be so vain is what it is. LOL   I call a spade a spade. I'm not willing to starve to death to wear a size or so smaller and am not willing to wear something that is gonna rip at the shoulder seams and gap at my dolly parton bust.

One model on there who squeezes into a 'L' she can't close the sweater/jacket together and she can't move her shoulders. LOL

Just plain stupid.   Isaac will say "what size is that darling?" she will say "large" and his face will show maybe you need to go to an XL sweetie.LOL

With the price of clothes these days be comfortable and leave the vanity at the door.
