Does anyone have info about this annual Dillard's sale event???

Oh..., 😔I was just getting ready to prep a hot list of items to shop the annual Dillard's NY Day sale - the best pricing is in store, 50% off on top of clearance pricing (not all items, but many, many good ones) which makes it crazy good! I have a good friend that lives near a store so she would get my list and ship the items to me.

In the past, I've scored some amazing good buys - shoes/boots, handbags, clothes, undergarments, jewelry-Brahmin, Vince Camuto, Ugg, Steve Madden, RLM, Wacoal...

Online offered some good deals too, so I usually also place an online order.

This is apparently a sign that they have placed in the stores.

This is the only decent store in our little town and I'm very disappointed because I'm not going to fight the mob and not get the extra percentage off. I still shop there and find some good bargains and I'll still go in and find good buys but the incentive to get in there on NY day is now gone for me. Relieved and kind of too bad at the same time.....

It makes sense from a health and security standpoint @Q4u. I was hoping they would do something special online.

When I had the chances to shop the store during the event previous years, I found it to be a rush...exciting and exhilarating and marvelous! I accepted the fact I would not get everything I wanted and yet still had several full bags. I enjoyed watching and participating in swaps/bartering with other customers in the long checkout lines.

And then feeling tired from the 'marathon' with no desire to cook or eat leftovers, we would go out for Chinese dinner on the way home.

You may find a treasure there. I knew what it was when I worked there. I didn't buy.

I really don't need anything clothes or shoes, so it doesn't bother me that Dillard's canceled their sale. They're probably short staffed like most businesses.
