I did!  

Every Easter we'd get an Easter outfit and it usually included a pair of Buster Browns.

OMG, Yes!  Brown for school,  patent for dress.  My mom bought them a local department store in our small town.

I remember they put our feet into an X-Ray box to see if the shoes fit!

Of course,didn't everyone     Thats Buster Brown and his dog Tige  <3  and they lived in my shoe    

Even my kids had them.

I dont think I had any of those...probably too expensive.We got one pair of shoes a year and they were usually canvas.

Yes! In the reddish colored Mary Jane style.

I also wore Stride Rite saddle shoes.

We didn't have much money but my mother believed quality shoes had better support.  Yes, I remember the x-ray machine.  Heavens!

I would still buy and wear a shoe styled like the red ones in the picture! By the way, Buster's dog is "Tige", not "Tide". And Buster's girlfriend was, of course, "Mary Jane"! (That's why we still call the shoe style by that name.)

Yes, ugly brown tie shoes. And I had ugly brown rubbers to protect them.

I was very sad when my kids got to big to wear white hi top baby shoes.
