Thx for the updates! The sleeve length concerns me...I recall Lisa always wearing the jacket with the sleeves open/unzipped. They looked long on her, but I also think it is an intentional design or style. Even the close up photo of the sleeve on the website/product page suggests the sleeves are long. My expectation is that I would like the pieced jacket more than the TSV, but maybe not! Is the pieced jacket shorter than the TSV one? How is the quality of the stitching-the pieced leather sections?

I own the priced from when it first aired. I have it in the Port Wine. Which wasn't offered this time. I ordered another one in the British Tan but haven't reveived it yet. I did not purchase the TSV so I can't compare the 2. The TSV for me had a Jetsons look to it that I just couldn't get passed and I had had my fill of Moto Jackets. But that's just me, it has gotten rave reviews. The Peiced for me is a Classic and one I will always go back to even in years to come. It is not a trendy style. Is just a unique great comfortable jacket. The strips of leather on mine are perfect. I think it's longer in the back than the TSV and the points in the front are very flattering. The sleeves are long but on all my jackets the sleeves are long so I am used to it. This is not a warm jacket. More for Fall or spring or even a cool summer night. Just not cold weather unless you layer. You probably could wear it as a Blazer inside in the Winter. I love it. It is flattering,unique and very comfortable. I do not like it closed on the hook, but it looks great with a thin belt like the Kate was wearing it. Also Holly Berry wore the original in her series and this jacket is spot on identical. So you may be pleasantly surprised. I think the high cost is due to the labor of sewing all those strips of leather. Really take a look at the workmanship of this jacket. It's amazing. Also it is an attention getter. Be prepared for compliments for those of you who like and keep. It's a matter of taste and I don't believe you will ever get sick of this one or ever find one like it in years to come.

If anyone happened to watched Extant on CBS, Halle Berry wore the original version of the G.I.L.I. Pieced Leather Jacket in Episode 1 and 4. I remember screaming "It's the G.I.L.I. Jacket". lol

This item is still available through Saks Off 5th website (it’s called the Greenwich leather jacket). Additionally, there is a second brand that sells this jacket on Neiman Marcus website or on http://www.LastCall.com (Neiman’s outlet). It is made by “John and Jenn” which are actually from the same company “Line”. They’re both $600 down to $200-$300 but the one by the parent company, Line, is real lamb skin. The one by this new sub-company John and Jenn is faux leather. I have various sizes of both jackets on order and should have them in a couple days. Will update with sizing info.

I received grey and black in size six today. Also received the same in size 8 yesterday. It's a shame when you gave to order two sizes! The 6 fits the best. 130 lbs 5'4. However the grey 6 seems smaller than the black 6. On me grey is not as attractive as black. It pulls when you use the hook and eye closure. I'm keeping the black 6 and shipping the others back.

I received the size larger today in British tan. It looks &fits too big ... So I will keep the Sz 14 from my 1st order. This jacket is unique and I do appreciate the craftsmanship. I wish I ordered the black as I think I would wear it more then the gray. Now I am on a leather jacket diet... I bought too many between this jacket and the TSV. I guess since Lisa is gone we won't be seeing anymore unique pieces to tempt us...lol!

Vickie00 I picked up on the likeness of the Extant leather to the GILI one when I saw the episode. I almost screamed when I saw it. I ordered the black and the tan and am probably keeping both - they are stylish and unique. I have the blush GILI TSV too and I haven't made up my mind about it. Not sure if it makes me look cool or like Miss Piggy. I'm still in denial that Lisa left. I probably won't be buying many fashions from the Q any more. Sad but good for my bank account.

well - I too am keeping the smaller of the two I ordered. The same size as the TSV. It's a shame that the sizing is so confusing and so many people ordered two. I won't even bother opening the plastic on the 2nd jacket and will make somebody happy to get a waitlist.

Still undecided about the chalk TSV.

I bought all 4 colors of the pieced jacket in a size 2. I'm a little undecided. I love the black. The blush looked a little bit like cut up flesh and gave me the creeps!

I already own both the Black and British Tan when it was brought back earlier this year. I was interested in the Blush, if it ever comes back in my size, but your description of the color made me laugh.

It actually creeped my husband out more than it did me. He said that from the corner of his eye because the blush is so skin toned, it looked like I had open wounds and was cut up. Not a nice image! I packed it up today! Still deciding on the british tan... The soft grey is the most beautiful color (it has a hint of light blue in it).
