I guess I'm of the mindset that if a brand is named after that person, I expect to see that person hawking their wares.  If I'm buying Marla Wynne, I want to see Marla Wynne.  If I'm buying Iman's fashions, I want Iman front and center during the presentations. Adrienne, Joy Mangano, etc., the same. However, I do understand that Diane is older and has had health issues and probably has other priorities. If she settled on one face as her "second-in-command," I think it would be easier for viewers who channel surf.

@Indra Designers are human, they retire, pass away, sometimes their investors push them out, or they leave to pursue other endeavors.  Many name brands live on without their progenitors such as Halston, Gloria Vanderbuilt, Anne Klein, Donna Karan, Kate Spade, Betsey Johnson, Calvin Klein, QVC's Carole Hochman, makeup creator Bobbi Brown.

I just remembered the most important thing i should have written in this post about the continued use of the Diane Gilman brand.  Diane herself lost the use of her name in the 1980s "in a deal with a Chinese conglomerate".  She used to sell washable silk under the Diane Gilman brand in HSN and other retailers.  After she lost her name, she reinvented herself and started selling jeans and sportswear under the DG2 brand.  See July 19, 2012, print edition of The New York Times, Section E, Page 4, with the headline: Selling Fashion With Couch Appeal, available at https://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/19/fashion/home-shopping-for-baby-boomers.html?_r=0.

I actually remember when this happened, and her silks on HSN, which I don't think I ever purchased.  The old styles are available in ebay with the old labels.

Isn't Sam still the rep for One World on ShopHQ??  This is so confusing--LOL!! Who can keep track??

Sam left shophq about a month ago.  I was shocked.  He has been the face of One World forever.  Not sure who is makeing these decisions for Shophq but they don't seem to be good ones.  That channel has changed so much.  Glad to see some of the old hosts on hsn and vendors too.

I have questions about what's going on with one world! I'm wondering if shop HQ, or is it bulldog, has some controlling interest in the company now?? How did a station stylist in Minnesota get the gig of creative Director for a company in LA? I would think there would be plenty of people in the company in line for that position

I like Becky a lot but I think it's a strange move; especially when you consider that she doesn't appear to be going anywhere.
As for Sam leaving I can imagine his contract was up and Diane offered him more money.....

I first saw Sam years ago on some reality show about wedding dresses (not Say Yes to the Dress) and I really liked him then.  Was surprised but pleased to see him on ShopHQ, but One World seems so much of the same styles to me.  I also love Becky and wish her well.

Looking forward to seeing Sam on Diane Gilman's shows.

Sam was the host of ABC's Extreme Makeover back in the early 2000's. That's where I first saw him as a stylist. He has a long list of career moves.

I love One World, shophq has changed so much, their focus seems to be invicta, expensive jewelry shows, and Dr Dubrow.  It would have been nice if Sam could have taken One World with him. They really cut down on their fashion shows. Becky should be okay I just hope they will have more One World shows

@kaydee50    a couple of weeks ago Sam was on shopHQ selling the One World and said  it was his last show and that he was passing the reigns to someone else and was taking on a different path... he certainly changes brands often.  I remember years ago he was selling handbags on the then ShopNBC( now Shop HQ).  Then he went to One World... now Diane Gillman.   He will sell  anything for a paycheck.... even things that are not all that great.  I see him like a used car salesman and take what he says with a grain of salt... he would sell ocean front property in Arizona if someone payed him to.

Sam is a go-getter. He probably has a more interesting life than many of us. He seems unafraid of new challenges and change. I respect and admire him. Most product lines are better after Sam's direction and influence. Not everyone can say that about their career.

Diane has been through a lot over her career... and the last few years dealing with breast cancer.... she might want to relax more... live life in the slow lane and give the reins over to other people to run her empire... she has done a lot in her life and deserves down time
