Re: Diane Gilman Cropped Skinny

I used to be a huge fan of DG jeans.  I own probably a dozen jeans & leggings of hers. They wear out quickly in the seat along the seams when they have spandex in them so I don't purchase anymore.  I am not heavy and have long skinny legs so it's the material, not my body.

Thanks for the inseam info.  Too bad they didn't have Diane or Suzanne in a jean that fit.  I know they are shown as "skinny" but I thought they looked so tight that i expected them to rip right on air.  Won't be ordering them.  I used to like them too, but I think something is wrong at the moment.

Diane has always been the worst example of how the jeans should fit.  She looks awful, as she sells thousands and thousands of them.  So many women addicted to purchasing these high priced cheap jeans.  I sent enough back before my brain took over and got me over my addiction.  LOL

@excpa: I was thinking the same thing! I noticed around the knees they are way too tight! I actually like the looser fit that the models are showing around the calf. Diane not so much

Re: Diane Gilman Cropped Skinny

I have often heard Diane say she is in a size 4 and then I think, well, no wonder they look three sizes too small on you!

I am smaller than Diane and wear a 6/ 8 in her jeans. I do love her jeans and own several pair.

I love the Superstretch LITE fabric that she is selling, in both the cropped skinny and the Bermuda Short.  The fabric is great to wear in the summer.  The Short goes to the knee, but I can roll that up a bit more because I don't like to cover my knee entirely (even though she says that is the style).   I wear a Size 10 from the stores and am 5' 9" tall, so I will be ordering a Size 8 TALL in this cropped skinny TS because I always go down one size with her jeans.

Also, most importantly for the Cropped Skinny TS: They didn't list the inseams online so last night I waited for someone to mention the inseams for the Petite, Regular, and Tall - and they never discussed it.  I went to bed, but taped the shows I would be missing.  FINALLY, this morning Shivan mentioned the inseams!!

So here's the "skinny" on this Superstretch LITE Cropped:

Petite inseam:  23 1/2"

Regular inseam:  25 1/2"

Tall inseam:  27 1/2"

Hope this helps!

Go to Nordstrom and buy Wit and Wisdom.  Same type fabric, but you won't have elephant legs or look like your legs are stuffed into sausage casings. Her jeans always ride up on my legs and I have thin legs, too. There are far too many folds in her fabric,  yuk.

Diane's jeans lose their shape very quickly. Not a good look on a pair of pants that are supposed to be structured

I thought the same thing. Her legs looked like they were stuffed into the jeans. Couldn;t see the waist.

When she was on with Callie this afternoon she said to stay with your regular size with the ts, not to go down a size. Who knows though.
