I liked the long denim coat with the rose on it. A lot of the jeans were way too young for me. Too low slung. Back in the 70’s, I remember the hip huggers, but they were generally tight down to the knees and then flared out.

It is interesting to see the styles from my youth re-imagined for today.

Yeah.  I was thinking instead of a nod to the 1970s-1980s, it might be a nod to plumbers' pants.

Come back around to what? ******?

Dear woman, that runway show was awful. To me anyway.

Except for the trench coat first few minutes in, fuhgeddaboudit!

There is a short denim trench, similar to an All Worthy that was sold here.  Not sure it is still in the inventory but I bought it and I love it and get so many compliments on it.  I even wear it to church with skirts and tops.  I wore it to a Christmas luncheon with some very pretty silky wine colored, flowy palazzo pants and a (real) ivory silk blouse and got lots of compliments.

It's always interesting to see what is on the runways, then see how they play out (to me) when retail lines come out.

Women today can't wear low riders.  Look at the influences like wide legs, denim jackets, and skirts, which Channel has been using on their suits.

I hear you, but listen, do not pay any attention to me. I’m an old cantankerous woman and do not understand all these new ‘trends’. No bra, sloppy looking clothes, and the like. I just do not understand any of it.

I’m goin’ to go crawl back under my rock now.

You be well sweet woman.

@ECBG  I enjoyed seeing how bell bottoms, hip huggers, denim skirts, & denim jackets are currently being reinterpreted. I recently saw a young woman wearing wide-leg bell bottoms and thought it would be fun to see them as an upcoming jeans trend option. And I always like seeing the iconic American fabric, denim, marching down the runway. Surprisingly, my favorite style from the video was the bejeweled jeans; those jeans are quite a contrast from jogging pants and PJ's and have a happier kind of spirit to them. Thanks for posting.
