Love those.  However, "sits lower on the waist" would not work for me in this case.  I can wear a "mom" waist in the privacy of my home, and I do.😌

Read the reviews. Button hole/buttons are a problem.  They come apart.   It's for this reason I want a pull over PJ top

Love flannel pj's.  Used to get them at kmart.  They were the best.  Haven't found any comparable since.  I'll have a look at these.

@Sweetbay magnolia, you might check out LLBean's Scotch Flannel pajama sets. The description say that they fit at the waist. They are more expensive. And FWIW, the sizing seems to have changed this year. I buy a couple every year and did so a few weeks ago. The size that I have always worn (PXS) fit like a at least a medium. But if they work for you, they are wonderful.
