I really miss David Dangle and the Joan Rivers line.  Wondering if the line of clothing is being discontinued, or what?  He is fantastic!  Hope there will be more Joan fashions and more of David.

@Jetter Netter   I'm not sure about the Joan Rivers line and David Dangle, but it seems the Q is phasing out many of the fashion lines and designers that where a staple in here, at one time, and replacing them with tv/movie star or former beauty queen fashions.  I believe QVC's strategy is to  try and get younger buyers to watch and purchase, but I don't think that demographic has any interest in QVC.

Re: David Dangle, Joan Rivers

There was a Joan Rivers hour yesterday on Q1.  It is scheduled to be repeated on Q2 tomorrow.

David is no longer the on-air representative.

I agree with @ciao_bella. To me it seems like Q is trying to appeal to the younger generations and to ignore us older, long-time customers. I've quit watching.

I miss the way Joan Rivers fashions used to be. Most jackets, slacks, blouses were perfect for me to wear at the office or out. Also loved some of Joan's body care products. If David is gone, that's too bad. He tried to keep her line alive after she was gone. Not an easy job!

David is no longer going to be the on air rep. A lady named Bitsy has taken his place.

@ciao_bella   Agree!  The true "designers" are being replaced by celebrity "designers."  QVC is trying to appeal to younger viewers while not alienating their older, long time viewers.  Very difficult to do as shown by their financials.

I didn't realize that David is no longer going to be the rep on the shows.  Is he no longer with the line or just giving up presenting?   Too bad, I feel also that there are a lot of changes going on here.  I loved Joan and enjoyed David's presentations but I don't feel the line is what it used to be.    I did see Bitsy on air yesterday and wondered where he was.

Re: David Dangle, Joan Rivers

This was David's announcement on Facebook.   He is remaining with Joan Rivers Worldwide.

"Over 30 years ago Joan and I created the Classics Collection for QVC.  I’ve always worn two hats: as designer/creative director of the collection and on-air guest.  After much consideration, I’ve decided to step back from my on-air role and focus my energy on the design and creation of the products.  My chic and stylish colleague, Bitsy Jennings will continue to do an amazing job - now as our primary on-air guest.  She has been and will continue to be my muse and my “blank canvas” and work with me in the continuation of Joan’s vision.  Bitsy’s a rock star on air and I’m blown away by how she styles my designs.  I’m so looking forward to focusing on designing the collection for you and I know you’re going to love all the new things we have coming your way.  (And I might get to spend a bit more time with my boy Gus, too!)"

Re: David Dangle, Joan Rivers

Bitsy has been on QVC for years.  I usually don't watch TV, but watch the online videos, and have seen her frequently on Joan Rivers items.  I shop the line.  I do find pieces here and there.  I guess the brand name may have lost value.  She also used to do "business" attire, and now "business" attire is pretty casual.  QVC does feature blazers here and there, and Isaac always has dresses, though I wish he offered more sleeves, the elbow length and 3/4 variety.  Sometimes his sleeves are too short.

I ordered some new Isaac and Tolani dresses on 6/3.  They are still "preparing my order".  QVC has been better with shipments, but not consistently.

I just realized QVC seems to be killing Jason Wu as well.  They never gave that line a chance.  He was never in any of the fashion shows except the Szish list at 2AM, and when the host left, the show changed and I left too.  Too much poly in the Jason Wu line, and the fit, based on the posted measurements, did not seem to accommodate my body.  I did buy a few blazers that worked for me.  Well made, good fit and colors.
