Well, I come from a time (the 60's) where we had River Phoenix and many other strange names. Gweneth Whosit named her kid after a fruit.

But who in the world would name their child David Dingle Dangle. That's just mean.

You are right, I was 16 in 1952' We got our TV when I was around 11 or 12 and so excited. I don,t remember him or GL. I didn't start watching until I was in my 20,s with three small children at home and watched for years when you would tape it, VCR until it went o the air.

He seems (on TV) like a nice person. He stands behind her (like he makes sure she isn't going to fall and if she does, he's there to support her).

Joan Rivers doesn't strike me as a person who puts up with anything less than doing an excellent job (whatever the job is).

So I suspect he is good at his job. That's what matters in business. That one does the job they are hired for and that it is also done with finesse.

I agree, but I still just don't seem to be able to warm up to him. If it's a Joan show I want to see Joan and am not much interested in seeing him, with or without her.

No, he was on Guiding Light in 1952. And, I agree with you, he looks great for a man in his 90's.

Before saying something unkind, I think it would be simple to check things out. I googled him, and his real name IS David Dingle Dangle. He is the President and CEO of Joan Rivers Worldwide, all that she encompasses.

The only information incorrect was that The Guiding Light began in 1952, and he was on it in 1984-1985. But I can see how the OP misinterpreted it, the way it was written. No, he couldn't be that old.

Joan has entrusted him with quite a lot, but he does seem to have an honorable and pristine history.

I think he is a nice fellow myself.
