LOL ....  reminscent of the original Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dress, which was knee length.     As you say, this dress is dowdy.     

Years ago, young women were taught how to dress, not to just throw one on and be out the door.   She needs help.

Okay, I just checked the weather in NYC on 12/4.   The temperature hovered around 43 degrees ....  so maybe this was her "warmest" dress option.

I like it, especially the color.  However, the sleeves and hem need tailoring.  I think the fabric is stiff.
