Dad sneakers are the name of big chunky sneakers in the UK. They started out and  are very popular here.  You probably own a pair with out the name Dad Sneakers.  Anyway I need leather sneakers badly and I like these.  I especially like the Fila ones.  Fila shoes  were made in Italy originally and in 2007 got sold to South Korea.  The clothing line of Fila is stll made in Italy.   They're cheap.  At Shopbop and the Fila site.  One below is $75.00.  Cute shoe

Too clunky looking. The proportions just don’t work for me.

I'll pass on that look.  I wear a size 10 shoe so a big clunky sneaker like that would look like boats on my feet.

@SharkE didn't they make you get them for gym, when you were in school?  How did you manage ,to get out of that one?

Wow, I might finally be in fashion!

As someone with big, wide feet, I sometimes slip over to the men’s to buy.  These types of shoes are great for walks.

@cherry.  Yeah. Gym was required for us. You had to wear sneakers on the new gym floor.
