The reception dress doesn't really look like a reception dress in that they are usually "party" dresses. This one looks more like a ceremony dress.

That being said; I don't really love either of these dresses and I think it has to do with the neckline on each of them. Both very unflattering necklines.

I prefer the bottom of the wedding gown than the top. Like @faeriemoon I like Nancy's outfit much better. Still she goes home to Val every night and that is the most important.
