I do. And when I chart previous years, I see a real pattern of shopping for anything and everything this time of year--makeup, skincare, clothes, shoes, home decor, groceries, wine, etc.!
I think there is more than one reason for this. First, stores are stocking for the upcoming holidays. If not out and about shopping, my mail slot doesn't disappoint. I seem to be getting an abundance of catalogs. Of course, there is always online shopping!
Then weather is a factor. I behave much like a squirrel storing nuts. I have the feeling that I better buy now before I have to deal with snow and ice.
What about you? Do you have certain times of the year when your shopping is greater than other times or is your shopping static?

Actually, my desire and need to shop tapers off around this time of the year. I was born a shopaholic, shopping is my hobby. Shopping for myself, I should say. At this time of year, I'm shopping more for others and it's simply not as much much fun.

YES!!! All the stores are having sales and good values and I buy ""me"" presents!

Hi, magic!
Years ago, when shopping for Christmas gifts, I had a "one for them, one for me" mentality. But my budget is tighter now and I really have to put more thought into purchases for me.
I have already started Christmas shopping and am so happy to have a few gifts marked off my list!
There are always the after-Christmas sales, right?

I agree about shopping this time of year. However, I am a shopper and that seems to be my hobby. I love shopping for clothes and when the holidays roll around, there I am and I start to see things that I want too so I always get a little something for me for under the tree. I also love to stroll around the stores and look at the Christmas trees and decorations. There are times when I do not buy anything and just enjoy looking at everything shiny and sparkly.

Yes, I seem to buy more for myself this time of year. Not only cosmetic items, but home décor as well.

maddie, I am impressed! You have already started your holiday shopping!
I guess the last couple months have been so hectic, I made some purchases that I might not normally have made, or at least I might have given more thought to them. I have even forgotten about some of the things I bought--since I haven't even recorded them yet on my spreadsheets!

My limited budget keeps me on a shopping diet.

No. I'm trying to get rid of stuff, not accumulate more.
