Have you noticed on Q and in catalogues or on site shopping, tops are usually half tucked, side tucked or all tucked into skirts or trousers?
This give me no idea what the actual length of the top or sweater is...especially important to me. I've ordered ones that are described as 23"-24" and end up almost to my knees and 21" lengths that are almost cropped. I do tuck in tops or wear them out or do 1/2 tuck once in awhile.
Please QVC, let the tops hang out to see the actual length and how they'd hang.

Agree! I can't tell what it really looks like as I don't half tuck anything so I don't consider it for purchase🤷🏻♀️.

What's really ridiculous is when the big hefty mamas try to pull this off !! Especially on HSN. They got that host that does that and sure doesn't entice me to buy what she's pushing.
Please put that phase behind us !! I iron everything and why would I intentionally tuck the hem in ?
Even the models who are any where between 100 pds to 300 look awful.

I think the "tucking" is a look but not the only look. For me, if a top is not in petite, they can look long, loose and sloppy unless I half tuck to allow my waist/hips to show.

I was channel surfing last night and saw that Susan Graver was on QVC with Sandra Bennett. One of the models had done a side half tuck. It looked like her blouse had accidently caught in the waistband of her skirt - on the side! It looked so awful that Susan actually made a comment and very quickly went over and removed the side half tuck, pulling the top down. The outfit was clearly not designed to be worn with a half tuck.

I do have to agree. It is hard to tell how it fits when they do the half tuck.

It's a styling choice that's not going anyway, especially with high waisted garments being on trend. If you don't like it, don't wear it.

@Love to Run That is true but I think what the op is saying that when presenting on air not to do the half tuck so we can get see how it looks normally as far as the length. It's hard to see that when they do the half tuck.

@Pecky I get that. I'm just not sure how many tops are actually designed to be worn hanging loose. I want to see the garment styled in a way it was designed to be worn. I guess I'm partial because I'm 5'6" and I don't have a problem with the length of tops, but it seems many of the women here are shorter, yet they have that problem.
