I don't think you are quite grasping the offensiveness of referring to thin women as anorexic.
Some women are naturally quite lean. Some women may have a medical condition such as cancer that renders them quite thin.
To blithely throw out the word "anorexic" when referring to a very thin woman is thoughtless and indeed, offensive. It's just as offensive as throwing out stereotypes about overweight women.
Can you understand why your choice of words was wrong?
