D&C Active Duo-Stretch: what am I missing?

Why so expensive? There is a new jacket and matching color-block top online; and the jacket is about $50.00 and the SHORT-SLEEVE top is $54.90????? I have to be missing something. If you own any pieces, please tell me what I'm missing.

I expect to see many items increase in price, as QVC offsets the profit lost when it reduced its exorbitant shipping rates on February 2. They will continue to get the money, one way or another. The excess shipping and handling QVC previously enjoyed was part of profit margin.

True they did make a lot of money from shipping costs and will definitely get it elsewhere. Unfortunately they can also price themselves right out of many viewer's budgets regardless of lower shipping.

I changed my mind at the last minute, and didn't order the duo stretch TSV pants. They didn't get very good reviews. People are saying they are very thin and cheap looking. I wouldn't pay a lot for this fabric.

I agree with you totally. I have seen a gradual increase in all of the QVC pricing, but when the price of a D&C short-sleeve top EXCEEDS the price of a Linea Whisper Knit sweater (love), or a pair of Isaac's ponte knit pants (love), something's gone terribly wrong. I hope they re-think their strategy because no one's going to pay that price for a top to wear to the gym -- at least I'm not. I guess we'll see!

I like Champion brand (on sale) at Target.

Great quality...much better prices than D&C.

I personally don't think they are going to be losing ANY money by the lowered s/h costs. Because now they don't have to return your s/h charges and I'm sure there are a lot of people who will now just keep something that they might have returned in the past. I think it's a win-win for QVC and a great disservice to us, the customers.

PLUS - I use my Target card - 5% off and if they don't have my size, I use Target.com - FREE shipping with a Target card!

They are still going to make plenty off of S&H by not refunding the original fees when you return an item. And their prices are getting out of hand for simple casual wear.
