Crazy prices...

I've been looking through the fall catalogs as well as the QVC prices lately. Since I don't frequent the malls much, I'm wondering if prices are high everywhere. It seems simple tops run almost $50.00 dollars plus shipping. Lands End, Tog Shop, Appleseeds, and etc. are way expensive. Is it the cost of material, the labor, or is it me? Perhaps I should go back to the malls. I can't justify many of these prices....
