Bob Mackie’s masterpieces of design created for The Cher Show on Broadway will be on display in May at the Metropolitan Museum of Art inNYC as part of its exhibit and gala “Camp: Notes on Fashion.”

All his 'show biz' ladies seem to adore him.  I love this clip of the great Mitzi Gaynor discussing Bob Mackie.  What a star she is.  She even throws in an impression of an adenoidal, impossibly young Bob Mackie, along with a hilarious impression of his design partner, Ray Agahyan.

That is so wonderful for Mr. Mackie!  I saw Isaac’s retrospective at the Jewish Museum when it was on exhibition three years ago. Seeing everything up close was incredible. My best friend and I went to the Met last year for the Heavenly Bodies exhibit. It was my favorite exhibit ever.  I am going have to start saving and plan a day trip to NYC for this exhibit as I imagine Bob Mackie clothes in person will be unforgettable.
