First of all I don't watch this man's show but I was flipping through the channels and my DH said something and I stopped to pay attention to him. So while I was paused there I heard this guest - who admitted she weighs 400 pounds say to Dr oz , and I greatly admire her for looking right at him on national TV and saying this. You push weight loss so much and I think you are doing a disservice to overweight women, who are comfortable with who they are, because you are making them hate themselves. Not an exact quote but you get the idea. I so agree with her. Women and especially girls in this country need to have a positive self image and the way he constantly pushes being thin is really conterproductive. Now i admit that 400 pounds is really extreme and she does need to deal with it as she was a young woman but what he CONSTANTLY pushes the you must be thin button is not a good thing for women. Not to mention all the products he shills - but that is another thread entirely.
