Anyone ever notice that the word "comfort" is used for most clothing items?

I've noticed it's used often for FOOD ITEMS. ETA: "Comfort food", that is.

The styles of the 40s and 50s probably weren't comfortable but they sure did look nice! So polished and put together. Sometimes I wonder if we should forgo a bit of comfort for more tailored clothes. Of course, I'm wearing jeans and a knit top, and not taking my own advice!

I'm comfortable with what I am wearing. That's all that matters to me.

There is something to be said for comfortable dressing, but you don't have to look sloppy to be comfortable. I think the soft suited look is comfortable and looks better on my ageing body, I still have not given up my regular blue jeans yet.

If they fit properly, tailored clothes are comfortable ... I had 50 years of experience dressing for executive/corporate environment.

My point is that it is another over used Q word.
