I agree with OP. Some of those color and pattern combinations make my eyes hurt. But Lori G. has given us "permission to play." So anything goes. Heck, it's great for business!

This just occurred to me: Is anyone familiar with the mall store "LittleMissMatched"? It sells pairs of socks and shoes that clash with each other, and other items with bright, mismatched patterns. These are mostly for little girls. Maybe this is where Lori G. got her idea? I don't know which came first...

@AussieLuvr Yes she is right. It has been.
It's odd. LOGO and Susan Graver seem to bring a lot of emotion in a certain segment. A psychiatrist might know the reason for it. It's only clothes and no one forces any of us to watch shows that don't appeal to us. Some people just seem to harbor a deep resentment or fear of LOGO clothes and SG. It's the oddest, weirdest thing. Every week, there are scores of posts bashing those two lines.
I don't know. I think its just as weird how people who like Logo feel they have to defend every negative post about it!
If you like it, wear it enjoy it but why care what others feel about it? Really just different feelings about what we like or don't. No one should feel they have to defend or hope everyone likes what they do or want no one to ever post anything against it.

Hmmm....what did I learn at Parson's. Well, my degree was in Illustration but I had to take Color Theory classes to graduate.
What I learned about color is that there are shades and tones and nuances that match each other, those that complement each other, and those that oppose each other and end up screamimg at each other. (Another poster mentioned that a red, for example can have yellow undertones or blue undertones and look completely different. This is the same reason there are different shades of black, navy, etc.).
Truthfully? I learned so much about color that I opted to specialize in pen and ink and graphite; or black and white. I am a detail person and not a nuance person when it comes to art, and I didn't want to deal with color in my art work. I was on the verge of switching to the Fashion Institute and color stopped me dead in my tracks. When it comes to textile design and clothing design, it takes a good eye and a LOVE for color. That said, I still know about it.
I have the eye, but I didn't have the patience to spend my days thinking about Pantone and what colors are "in" and what colors are "passe".
If I was going to pass any advice along it would be to make sure you choose the clothing you buy in sunlight, next to a window if possible instead of under fluorescent lights. Have a good idea of what you want to pair it with and don't just buy a piece (at least an expensive one) on the spur of the moment because you love it and then realize you have to buy ANOTHER piece to wear it with. Give yourself lots of mixing and maxing options, and that's how we end up with smaller wardrobes; we are able to mix and match and not need to own hundreds of clothing itetms. Also, know your own personal coloring (hair, complexion) and body type and buy styles and colors accordingly. Not every style looks good on every body, though I'm sure I'm preaching to the choiir on this one. Here's a good article to help: http://stylecaster.com/cool-warm-skin-undertones/
These are some things I learned from my art and design professors and are not just my opinion.
One last tip; when you find a designer that you think you like, read about them. Read their interviews and if possible, find pictures of the inside of their home online. This might sound over the top to some, but if I "like" a designer, and their home appeals to me then it is likely that the things they design will appeal to me, as well. I will trust and be comfortable with their design choices.
Ask for help when you are shopping in a brick and mortar; I'm not saying you'll always get good color advice but if nothing else, you'll learn more about color marriages that appeal to you and WHY.
Wow, this is a loaded question to ask someone who has an art and illustration degree. I could go on and on, but I've already gone on too long. ![]()

You're right. I think that's true.
I've been thinking about this whole phenomena and knowing that all the times I have dressed exactly like I like, I feel good even if someone else thinks-wht is she wearing? lol. Its great to have your own style and be happy with it.
One of my daughters said, "Mom, you can't wear pajamas out" yet these to me are stylish pajamas lol! And wouldn't you know everytime I wear them, a stranger will say "I love your pants!"
And sometimes lots will like something on me but I don't like it on me-so guess what happens? I might wear it once to try it out but then not wear it again, because I don't feel confident or good in it.
If someone worries about what others think or takes offense at it, then somewhere you are unsure about what you are wearing and need others approval.
When you really feel great about what you are wearing, you don't rely on others approval. You may take opinions but in the end you'll enjoy wearing it.
My father once told me that the coat I had looked like a rag from the dumpster or something like that. It was my favorite coat! It looked like a shaggy sheep and I loved it. But to make him happy, he had me go look for a coat that to him looked like a coat so I ended up getting a beautiful red coat with black buttons like my mother had. I loved that one too and then only wore my sheep one when I wasn't with him. Two different styles. One classic, conservative, and elegant and I"m sure the other one would have been unanimously appreciated at Woodstock! I loved them both.I do take others feelings into account when I am with them but would never worry what people on a forum think is pretty or not.
And even if our opinions differ, I think when we feel pretty and confident, then others usually think that too.
I like reading the different comments people have and some are very funny! I appreciate that too!
And one more thing-I think some people think that if something is in style, then they look good no matter how they look. But that is not always the case.
For example I think though there were so many dresses at the awards show with that awful slit all the way down the center, some just didn't look comfortable in it at all.Hopefully people will obtain their own style, not follow whatever comes along.

I don't wear LOGO so I'm not defending it nor do I care what people think about how I dress.
But I find it very strange that others are so concerned about a clothing line they don't like, they have to start a thread about it as if they are schooling everyone on how horrible something is. Why do those who dislike LOGO care so much that multiple threads are started every week, sometimes every day about this line?
I don't like Bob Mackie items. I don't watch Bob Mackie shows. I don't watch them and then come here and start a thread about how awful the line is.

I guess we talk about it because its on so much and thats whats great about these forums-we get to talk and share feelings and thoughts about fashion and all kinds of things.
It would be kind of strange to just always post about things we like. People like to post their opinions about popular things-good and bad-it happens all over the world about everything.

I wonder the same. People that have time to scrutinize others clothing may have just a bit too much time. Invest it in something possitve.

Clearly some posters here just "don't get it" and apparently never will. It's one thing to express a negative opinion about something, and quite another to do it in such rude, offensive ways, knowing other posters like it. There are many ways to express an opinion politely and not rudely, and people just are mean and rude about Logo. How many times do we have to say that? Which is why some people never seem to get it?
As for the amateur psychologists on this thread....LMAO @ them. Esp. those who stalk others posters and post on threads only to snark and attack. They should look inward before pointing the finger outward at others. Too funny - and predictable!
