Color code your bags

I just read the "gave away the wrong bag" thread. Here is a foolproof system we learned after cleaning out my mother's house when she went to assisted living. Black trash bags were for stuff to be tossed, meaning the dump. White trash bags were for items to be moved or donated. In this poor lady's case, I would have used black for Goodwill and white for the alterations.
