I have to believe I'm not the only one who finds it confusing when a garment is given the same color name as another item, but they are not the same color.

Specifically, I'm referring to the upcoming Sand items. I thought the WK tank and mesh yoke blouse in Sand would be a match to last spring's Sand sateen jacket. According to the replies that reference Louis's blog on my post asking about this, they are not the same.

Similarly, with last year's Chain Link pieces offered in Perfectly Pink Louis had to repeatedly remind people that this was not the blush shade that people who purchased previous items in that shade expected - that it was actually a blue-based carnation pink.

I don't expect that items offered in any line given basic color names - Black, Blue, Red, Green, Brown, etc. will be a match to other items named that color. But when a color name with a particular nuance is given to clothing in the same line within a year's time, like Perfectly Pink, Sand, Cassis, Mocha, Fawn etc., I find it's confusing when trying to buy coordinating pieces when it's not a match to previous same-named items.

Those of us who participate in this forum and follow Louis's blog can often parse it out before ordering. But in an effort to avoid returns in this line it would be a good idea, I think, not to give items in different colors the same color name.
