Re: Coats again, how about your favorite length?

Depends on the weather. Down here I have only one long coat. My go to coats are 3/4 length styles. I have a lot of jackets that are hip length. This is like my longest coat and worn with knee high or otk boots is nice and warm as a previous poster mentioned. A good option especially if I have to travel north in winter.

Nothing longer than my knee.

I have a long wool coat, but I don't really wear it that much.

Re: Coats again, how about your favorite length?

For winter warmth I prefer a "walking coat" length, which to me means a coat that reaches the knee. I wear a lot of long tunics, and although I like the "short over long" look, I don't care for it in the winter coat department.

Most of the time I wear long capes (to the knee or just below.) My family thinks I'm nuts.

This made me laugh, faerie.

I have a friend who always wears a cape or a poncho. She's very dramatic. LOL

But she always wears shorts. When it's cold, she'll wear pants. She's probably in shorts 3 seasons out of four. She always wears a cape. LOL

Mid-thigh or longer for casual.

Knee-length or longer for dressy.

Re: Coats again, how about your favorite length?

I am tall and my preference is a coat that is about 2 inches over the knee. That way I can also wear skirts without them hanging down beneath my coat. I have a few car coats but love the elegance of a longer coat. And I prefer a wool coat. I love the Polo Coats from L.L.Bean.

I like car length (3/4 length) for me. They come just to my knee as I am only 5' tall.

My family thinks I'm eccentric, but I haven't yet worn my capes with shorts. {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

Love the look of a long coat but I'm too actice to wear anything other than 3/4.
