I have a small,jade Buddha pendant with a small peridot stone.  I happened to be wearing it when a precious dog of ours had to be put down.  Then years later I was wearing that same pendant when another much loved dog had to be put down.  I still have it but I'm very superstitious about ever wearing it again.
