Clingy in a bad way. So many tops here are clingy in a bad way. They envelope around the derrière. They show bulges above the waistline and look tight over the hips. The make the bust look awful. I wish Q would consider the clingy factor more with the designs they show.

There are knits that don't cling. They are more of a cotton or cotton poly blend tee shirt fabric. They are not jerseys. I'm seeing so much clinging here.

Clingy-ness (is that a word?) has a lot to do with the thickness and stiffness of the fabric. When fabric has weight and body it naturally gets pulled down by gravity making it flow over the 'topography of the land'. Texture also makes a difference. A good example is thin cotton gauze...very clingy and shows topography.

The thicker, more substantial knits tend to be the ones that don't cling.  Of course, being a heavier weight, they are not so cool for summer.  By the way, SG's Liquid Knit does cling despite what she says.  However LOGO's 230 Rayon, which has a similar silky feel, is more substantial and is not clingy.   Being Rayon, it's a natural fiber and, I think, is more comfortable to wear.

I can't find new tops that are as good as my old ones. I've worn older D & Co for ages, not anymore.
Perhaps they want them to shrink, cling and  wear out then we will buy more!

@Kachina624   I've never had cling from liquid knit.  I don't buy the butter knit.  It doesn't really cling for me, but it's just not as substantial as I prefer.  I have bought other brands at or above SG prices (from Nordstrom and Macy's)  that weren't nearly as flattering nor at all durable.

I call them "fanny flaps."

I think it's two issues .... (1) wrong fabric used for that particular style and (2) models wearing the wrong size and style for their particular body shape.

Not all styles and fabrics work on all bodies.

You can see it's too small in how it fits around the shoulders and bust.

MBR is wearing a Joan Rivers sweater with plaid sleeves on air right now. There's no cling. If Joan can do this, why can't other vendors?

Just bought these 95 cotton 5 spandex tops from Talbots, tried them on in the store, no cling at all probably because of the natural fibers.  Original price $49.50, sale price when I ordered online $32.  I think that's a deal.

@rockygems123    I have a D&C shirt very much like the navy top except the flowers on mine have yellow centers.  It's a favorite for summer.
