If I had a daughter, I wouldn't purchase most of these dresses for her.
I went to a catholic high school so I wouldn't have been allowed through the door in most of these. I would have been given a shawl by one of the nuns to covery myself before they called my mom. LOL
My son went to an all boys Catholic High School. The Sister School wore outfits like this and then some. Of course this was about 14 years ago. I should know cause parents paid for son and his date. Every May/June they show the graduating classes prom photos in my town's local rag. Your jaw would drop. They show everyone: public/private and parochial @Lipstickdiva .
Times have changed.

Trust, this is what they will be wearing. Especially for those who have prom date @Love my grandkids .

And yet none of the models are teens. Some are appropriate and some are not but where is parent involvement? I have no problem with a well fitting strapless gown. Some of the kids are only 15 or 16 years old and IMO don't belong in tight slinky gowns. All teens aren't 5'8 with perfect bodies. They should be guided to dress appropriately for their age and body type. And that's a parent's responsibility

My father would never let me out of the house dressed like this!

@mspatmac Girls going to Senior Prom are usually 17, or 18. Most 17 (depending on your date of birth and school year). Many will have prom and enjoy summer then head to college.
You have to pay attention to our young people to know what some of them are doing. I have a grandson who is not a teenager, but rather a young adult and I can stay up on what's going on through him. LOL.

My niece-in-law recently sent pictures of her daughter and best friends getting ready for their junior prom. (Catholic school in a large Texas city) All 6 girls had strapless or spaghetti straps but there was no visible cleavage. (Two girls had those droopy sleeves.)
Frequently, over exposure is the result of ill fitting bodices.
