Re: Class Reunion Attire Advice Requested

@haddon9

I had to laugh at myself.  I bought those lace pants for an occasion like that and I love dressing up.  I didn't have anything dressy to go to this summer.   I was imagining myself going to that reunion with her....LOL

Re: Class Reunion Attire Advice Requested

I too imagined myself at a summer event in those lace Linea pants, but knew I didn't need them and restrained myself from buying them!

However, I did wear the Linea lace inset top (A351465) and ivory slim jeans (Iman) to a reunion and was comfy and just dressy enough for daytime at a country club, with suggested casual dress.

The men were in golf shirts, pants, most women in pants, capris, etc., and casual but bright and pretty tops, and a few were in church type dresses, pearls.  We are all in our 70's.

I felt just right in what I wore.

My second option was black slim leg pants and the Linea lace tunic (A302605)  in white but I felt it was a bit too dressy, but actually that top is fine with jeans, pants, skirts, and would have been a great choice as well.

Hope you find something that you love to wear!

Re: Class Reunion Attire Advice Requested

I am going to mine in September.  45 years and some girlfriends and I are going.  We leave the hubbies at home.  We still hang out to this day.   Friends since grade school.

Personally, I am wearing dark jeans and a new top from Belle.  TripleLuxe one. Love it.   Sandals or booties not sure yet.  Nice earrings and bracelets.  Going casual and the whole class pretty much does.  Some more and some less.  The beauty of it is I don't care one way or the other what the others wear.  I am wearing what I want and what is comfy.  I will look nice and put together.  Going to a Mexican restaurant and same place we always go.

Sure I fuss some and make sure all is in place.  Like hair, makeup, etc but so different than highschool.

Enjoy and wear what you like and feel good in. You will see that anything goes.

Re: Class Reunion Attire Advice Requested

[ Edited ]

I'm back! And I had an amazing time! Thank you all for your advice and help!

@lolakimono - I LOVED that dress, and that is "my" color, but I was worried about it getting here in time. The shoes are amazing too - that whole look would be perfection! If I had only started this sooner - I just thought I'd wear one of the many dresses I have!

I ended up wearing the Linea moss crepe maxi dress in Admiral Blue. I wore it with strappy gold sandals I've had a while (and love - they're really comfortable), and an off-white summer cardigan (since I was worried about the restaurant being cold - and it was!). I changed my jewelry from my usual southwest style. When I was trying on my dresses for DD to see, and we both liked the blue one the best for this occasion, she said, "I have the perfect necklace." So I ended up wearing her Kendra Scott statement necklace (pictured below) with teardrop Abalone earrings, two gold bracelets DH gave me, and my regular white watch.

I felt perfectly dressed and comfortable. Women there were dressed in everything - one came in white jeans and an off-the-shoulder top. There were a lot of soft-suiting looks - black pants, top and soft jacket. Most wore either tea-length or maxi dresses. I saw very few short dresses.

DH went down with me, but stayed home hanging out with my best friend's husband! We tried to take them once, and her husband is very social, but the two of them sat in their chairs all night and talked to each other. So since then we've left them home! Smiley Wink

Thanks again for your help - I SO appreciate the advice I get here! Heart
