It's a great store for tweens. For me...not so much. I have a piece or two from CC, but I rarely wear them. I buy J. Crew mainly (statement piece necklaces--and some Banana Republic). I do think CC is a super cute store though, and I own a few scarves.

I have to tell you that I did not have the luck that most of the posters here have had. I wnet into one of their stores for the first time about a yr ago. Spend a good hour walking through and looking at everything. When I first got there, I saw a ceramic look watch in black that I wanted (was only priced at $25.00 I believe) so I picked it up and carried it around with me while I was looking at other items. When I was ready to check out, I looked down at my hand and it was black. The color on the watch had worn off on my hand and turned it black. Now I realize the watch was only $25.00 but come on, an hour and my hand was black? I put the watch back and walked out and have never been back. I do buy costume jewelry from other places and have not had problems but I will not go back there. They do have some cute things but if this is the quality they offer then they will not have my business.

No local store for me. I visited my daughter in Florida and she took me to their store. Interesting and lots of really neat jewelry items, organized by color. I then found them online. I only bought one or two items. They are holding up.

I have several items from Charming Charlies, never had a problem with any of them. I have some really unusual pendants from them and I have gotten many compliments on those items. I love to shop in that store.

I love Charming Charlie's. It's a great place for finding accessories for a special occasion when you don't want to make a big investment.

I haven't had anything from their store fall apart on me. But it's costume jewelry and inexpensive handbags and tees and scarves - not meant to last a lifetime.

I am the OP. I did get some cute scarves from them online. I got one pair of earrings, but I haven't worn them yet. They are hoops with enamel. I wish the post was stainless. All the costume jewelry I have, even from Walmart have not bothered me, but the tags usually say stainless steel posts.

There's costume jewelry and then there is really cheap costume jewelry and Charlie's is really cheap costume jewelry. The first time I went there I bought a necklace which broke the first time I went to put it on. I have purchased a couple of things since that have been OK. I must say that if you are looking for jewelry and other accessories in colors that you would not usually find accessories in this is the place to go.

Not everything they sell is junk. One has to pick and choose. They have a few cute pieces. Are they J. Crew quality...? ..heck to the no. They are fine for teenagers and those on tight budgets.

I love Charming Charlie's! It's great if you need a particular color to match an outfit. I have bought several rings for $10 or less, haven't had any problems. When and if I do, I still got my money's worth!

It's a cute store, but things are cheap and the jewelry my sister in law got broke quite fast. I would say in my opinion it's good for young girls.
