I've started the closet changing already, but I do it over the course of a few weeks. If I put away all the winter clothes now, you know it will get cold again 😁

First, I put away all the super heavy warm sweaters up in my attic, then less warm stuff and so on. I'm now bringing down some long sleeve tees and light weight sweaters for spring and summer. When the weather really gets and stays warm, I'll bring down all my summer clothes from the attic.
This works for me and there's no rush to do it all at once.

I don't have the space to change my mind let alone my clothing---it all hangs together 365 --24/7---

I don't need to change out closets anymore. I used to do that when I had more clothing than I do now. I kept out of season clothes in large bins and those assemble yourself closets in my basement. It was quite a chore to lug clothing up and down the stairs.

Since my major purge many years ago, everything I own for all 4 seasons is in my bedroom closet (not walk-in) and a couple dressers. All I do is rearrange things a bit.

Good luck with your closet change outs.

Have a good week!

I switch out some cashmere items and heavier long sleeves.  I've grown to buying things I can wear year round since my life has changed since retirement.  It's still a job to do since we have so little closet space.

I will be switching out probably in the next week or 2. Temps keep going up and down here in the Midwest.....Some days it is still chilly and damp.....

@LavernLuvsShoes

 Woman LOL When I bought my house I was told the reason for the 2 closets was the master bathroom was supposed to be bigger but the builders didn't do it, which is fine with me since I hate with a passion to clean a bathroom Woman LOL

Re: Changing Closets

[ Edited ]

Living in a 20 X 12 New York City studio apartment with one small coat closet makes it so easy.

No "changing out".   Everything you own is right there to see, 365 days.

Easy, Peasy!

@ALRATIBA The temps in the greater NYC area have been very wacky over the last few weeks

Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being positive what could go right.
