the fashion show was held in a grocery store -this is one of his creations. i have not seen the prices.
this one looks like an egg carton:

a couple of the reviews:
Considering some of his recent collections, I get the feeling that Karl Lagerfeld gets a kick out of making fun of the rich.
If Karl's goal was to create a couture version of the slob look normal people sport to get groceries (ripped pants/shirts, big ugly puffy coats, hideous slapped-on makeup) then he succeeded.

It was apparently his homage to the consumer driven culture of today. That's not a real handbag and it wasn't a "Bags Fashion Show" as the thread title implies, it was a clothing fashion show. Everything in the grocery store had a CC logo - there was a Chanel shopping trolley, Chanel chain saws, etc.. Obviously they're not for sale. From some of the photos, it looks like he may be going for the "people of Walmart" look!
