My teaching career (and married life) began in 1971.  The OP's photo (you look lovely) looks like what I wore to school.  I loved sleeveless dresses with matching jackets. (also love the simple low pumps)

The biggest drawback to shorts skirts was you had to be very careful not to bend over or reach too high.  Back then we always wore pantyhose.

@ALRATIBA  and I discussed this a while back but just because you're older doesn't mean that your taste has changed! So you modify for any changes in your body.

For example the legs I have now call for a longer skirt! LOL
