The only reason this is so, was because Mohamed loved cats.  One story was that he refused to rise for prayers as he did not want to disturb his beloved cat sleeping on his lap. I only wish humans would treat other humans as they treat.....cats.  Only cats are allowed in Mosques.  Not dogs, not any animals except for cats.
