The goats don't produce a lot of hair to make the fiber plus the fiber itself takes a lot of special processing. So between the animals, their location, the processing and the weaving it becomes an expensive thing.

The goats live in the Himalayans where it gets very cold and that makes the goats grow thicker coats.

It also has to be dry cleaned and moth proofed.  More trouble than it's worth.
