I don't think Carolyn looks bad...I'm a plus SIZE and I'm bigger than Carolyn. But I will say this, FOR ME...at 5'6 I think the key is wearing a LONG ENOUGH Tunic top. For ME...I have now learned to write down the measurements of tunics that fit me WELL and look the BEST on me.
SO for example, if an Isaac Tunic fits me well in a 1X the length for all MY TUNICS must be at a minimum 30 inches to 32 inches. That range looks the best on me, if the tunic is less than 30 inches I know for me .....I can NOT BUY It. It will be too short. That is why I LOVE QVC, you can read the measurement prior to purchasing.
Side note, I do all my orders as CHECK Orders, I do not charge anything sporadically. I see an item, and I do a check order over the telephone. The check order holds my item and then I can come on line, read the measurements, read the reviews and them make an intelligent decision.
I think anyone can wear leggings but the key is the LENGTH OF THE TUNIC.

It's a fine look for taking the dog to the dog park. Otherwise, not so good. The boots did not flatter, nor did the rolled up pants. The whole thing was not so good. But these things will happen, so no big deal. Most of the time all the hosts look nice, but everyone has a bad day.

I really don't think leggings are a good look for anybody who is real curvy and hippy! And yes, that is my body! Like another poster stated... the slender leg area makes one look very wide in the hip area - picture an ice cream cone!! And am not sure that a long top really helps in the look...so... will not be buying.

Leggings
Skinny Jeans
Capris/Pedal Pushers/Clam Diggers/Ankle Pants
These are not universally flattering. Some people can wear them and look great and others can wear them and they don't do anything positive for your appearance.

Carolyn only needs to size up and stop deluding herself that she is a size large. The jeans jacket she had on this morning looked two sizes too small thus adding pounds to her figure.
Why hasn't someone addressed this with her? One of the stylists, perhaps?

I think pants like the TSV can look good on just about everyone. Just wear a longer top.
I noticed that in the D&Co. promo for these with the 3 women standing there, the plus size woman in the brown sweater is wearing the pants and they do not look good on her only because they have her in that brown sweater and it is not long enough! Had they put her in a long tunic to COVER her hips and the top of her thighs it would have looked fine.
As another poster in this thread said the only women who do not look so good in skinny pants and leggings are women with very heavy calves, it just highlights them. And that does not mean only plus women you can be a size 6 and have calves that are heavy it depends on your height etc.
I think we all know what looks good on us and how to wear clothing but sometimes it takes trying something new to see that you really can wear something (or can't) by trying it for yourself.

I think she looked just fine in those leggings.

On 9/8/2014 ItsAidan said: I just don't know why she keeps stating she is a 14-16. I'm exactly her height and a size 14. She is obviously bigger then that, and that's Ok! I just think that's misleading. Own your true size! And OMG if she says she bought the item she is selling one more time...ugh! Geez, I need to change the channel, she's making me cranky.
I am confused by her stating she wears a "large", too.. I wear a medium in Denim and Co. If I didn't have prior experience with the brand's sizing, I would be VERY confused about what size to order if she is an example of "large". I might be tempted to order a S or XS by comparison.
