Re: Canyon Retreat by Denim & Co.

My jacket came today. I love it! It's very well made. The only thing is, DH thought it was really nice. but he said, "You couldn't wear a sweater under that." I have a thing- even if I don't plan to wear a jacket closed all of the time, I still want to be able to close it comfortably. I can, but I was wearing a light T-shirt. It fit perfectly with that shirt. I don't think I would wear anything heavier than a T-shirt anyway. I'm afraid if I exchange it for the next size up it will be too big. So I decided to try it when I see DD and get her opinion!

I also got 3 T-shirts. They are really nice too! They have a little notch, on the side of the front of one side.that gives it interest. Perfect fit, and the colors! I got Clay Red, which to me is a light-medium brick, Sunset Gold, a true "fall" gold, and Turquoise, a muted turquoise with a bit of a greenish cast.

And we're just getting started! LOL!   Smiley Wink

I thought much of the collection was just the usual D&C but there were a few interesting pieces.  I especially like the fleece jacket....like I need another jacket.

I like it too, although like most lines they assume you'll be wearing jeans and have all color choices with blue.  I wear black pants.

Like you, I do not need another fleece jacket.  I already have more than I can use for the short cold weather period where I live.

However, that doesn't mean I won't be persuaded if I happen to see the presentation...😉

@geezerette    Exactly!  I like the way you think.  I ordered it and its on its way to me.

@SharkE    The have an outlet at their factory in Oregon.  My parent stopped and shopped there.  Dad got a nice vest at a good price.  I don't like wool clothing.  Too warm.

@beach-mom  I couldn't tell viewing on line, does the design in the jacket match from the front to the sides?  Thanks,

@colleena   @beach-mom    Since I've done a lot of sewing, I examined that pattern and no, it really doesn't match but I also decided its so random that it would be next to impossible to match.  The motifs are on the same plane and that's probably the best they could do.

Somebody here said its supposed to be debuted on September 11th.

Re: Canyon Retreat by Denim & Co.

Hi @colleena - Sorry I just got home after being gone all day!

@Kachina624 is right. All patterns don't exactly match, but I think they did a pretty good job trying to match some of it!

I took 2 pictures, one of each side. In the first one (of the left side) I think they did a good job matching the black part and the cream part right above the pocket. In the second picture (of the right side) they don't exactly match, but they come close.

I'm usually fussy about fronts and sides and patterns matching, but I think it looks fine the way it is on this particular jacket!  Smiley Happy
